AboutFred lebeer was born in Belgium, Antwerp.
He obtained a master in Civil Engineering, Applied Physics but during his university studies he was already spending a lot of time on acting and music. After having successfully graduated as an engineer he went to the conservatory and obtained two masters, 1 in jazz piano at the conservatory of Brussels, Belgium and 1 in singing at the conservatory of Rotterdam, Netherlands. During all these studies he was continually working as a professional actor. Fred Lebeer has worked extensively in Belgium and abroad, both as an actor and as a musician. He travelled and performed amongst others in France, UK, Angola, Cuba, Germany, Netherlands, Italy etc. As an actor he started getting jobs from when he was 16. His first role was in theatre, playing Woyzeck. From that first appearance onwards, he received many different playing offers from different casting agencies. He has worked on TV, film, theatre, commercials, radio etc..forever since. First starting in Belgium, both in French and Dutch speaking part of the country, but later on he got more and more playing options abroad and in international productions. As a musician he has been selected more than once for young jazz talent competitions. He has been recognised as a bandleader of amongst others Twanque, Patronato, Duke Plankton etc. He played in all major jazz venues in Belgium such as Flagey, Dinant Jazz, Ghent Jazz, Hopper, Music Village, Archiduc etc. Some of the known musicians he played with are Philippe Catherine, Sandra Cordeiro, Matthew Irons, John Beasley, Rey Cabrera etc. His teachers were Diederik Wissels, Nathalie Loriers, Jan Hartong, Lilian Vieira, Alberto Caicedo, Connie de Jongh, Harjo Pasveer and Pete Churchill. |
